The Warwick Valley Rotary Club is pleased to announce that we will be continuing our ongoing service of providing Annual Scholarship Awards to eligible high school seniors . This year, not only have we increased the amount of each award, but we have increased the number of awards granted. We are giving 4 Scholarship Awards, each of which is $2000 for a total sum of $8000!
There are Two General Rotary Scholarships and One Sylvio Petruccio Award for a student pursuing a career in the Arts. In addition this year there is a 4th Scholarship named after the late Rotarian Frank Seeber, whose family has set up the initial funding and assisted in fundraising for this award.
The criteria for each award is the same. The student must be actively matriculated in his/her Senior year at
Warwick Valley High School, SS Seward Institute in Florida, or a registered Warwick District student attending Orange-Ulster Boces or Burke Catholic High School. The student must be in good standing with regard to academics. The student must also be pursuing further education through college or trade school.
The student must complete the attached application in it's entirety and submit the necessary paperwork which consists of:
Official School Transcript Two Letters of Recommendation Essay Signed Application
The Official Transcript needs to be provided by the school. The other 3 items (Letters of Recommendation, Essay, and Signed Application) can mailed, hand delivered or scanned and sent directly to Dr. Laurene Iammatteo via email or mailed to the address listed below.
The deadline for application submission FRIDAY APRIL 16TH 2021.
Our Scholarship Committee is looking for students who show Leadership and Initiative. Students that when faced with an ethical dilemma, are able to rise to the occasion and take action demonstrating responsibility and integrity. Students that we hope will someday grow to be the future of Rotary!
